At Morrow & Artim, our focus is Consumer Law, period.
Consumer Law is the practice of assisting consumers just like yourself with issues involving credit card debt, defective products, collection agencies (including unfair collection practices and unfair credit reporting matters), unfair business practices and identity theft. At Morrow and Artim, P.C., our focus is to help individuals just like you.
Many of the cases that we handle involve state or federal laws that allow for fee shifting. Fee shifting is a legal concept that essentially makes the other party responsible for your attorney fees if you prevail with your claim. Cases involving unfair debt collection practices under the FDCPA, unfair credit reporting practices under the FCRA, and defective vehicle cases under the PA Lemon Law and Magnuson Moss Warranty Act are examples of these fee shifting matters. These claims are handled on a no-retainer basis. This means that you do not have to pay an up-front fee for our legal services. We do this because we are able to obtain our fees from the other party. Unfortunately, Credit Card lawsuit defense cases typically do not fit under the fee shifting statutes that we work under. On those cases, we charge a low, flat fee that will allow you to know exactly what your legal fees will be.
